About us
The Lubuskie Region Employers' Organization
Since its creation in 1991 the mission of the Lubuskie Region Employers' Organization (OPZL) is to protect the laws and represent businesses of united entrepreneurs towards trade unions of employees, the organs of authority and state administration, as well as territorial self-government. The Lubuskie Region Employers' Organization runs a number of initiatives that aim at helping its members in many ranges of activities: training sessions, conferences, meeting foreign business partners, business trips, study trips, integration trips, sessions concerning gaining information on business supporting programmes and the like.
The OPZL unites companies from the whole of the Lubuskie Region, no matter how large they are, the branch they represent or the kind of business activity they run (production, trade/distributio, services). Member companies present a full economic picture of our region - thanks to them the Organization proclaims a strong representation of the Lubuskie entrepreneurs towards self-governing authorities, state governing authorities and other subjects.
Thanks to a wide representation of the Lubuskie Region's entrepreneurs and more than a dozen years of action on their behalf, the Lubuskie Region Employers' Organization is an important partner of both regional and state institutions. Our representatives can stand for the interests of minor and major employers taking part in the works of the Regional and Provinional Employment Council (Wojewódzkia i Powiatowa Rada Zatrudnienia), Regional Commission for Social Dialogue (Wojewódzka Komisja Dialogu Społecznego), Head Council of the Polish Private Employers' Confederation Lewiatan (Rada Główna PKPP Lewiatan) and also the Lubuskie Region Monitoring Programmes Development Committee (Lubuski Komitet Monitorujący Programy Rozwoju Regionalnego).
The Lubuskie Region Employers' Organization is an active member of the Polish Private Employers' Confederation LEWIATAN (Polska Konfederacja Pracodawców Prywatnych, PKKP in short). The PKKP Lewiatan collects within 56 regional and branch unions about 3000 businesses employing altogether over 600000 people. It is a member of Three-part Commission for Social & Economic Matters (Komisja Trójstronna ds. Społeczno-Gospodarczych). It belongs to BUSINESSEUROPE organization - which represents entrepreneurs and employers in relation to the European Committee, the European Parliament and other EU institutions. Thanks to it the voice of the Lubuskie Region entrepreneurs can be heard not only in the region but also far beyond. It is worth mentioning that every OPZL member is given at the same time a membership in PKKP Lewiatan and may make use of the Confederation's support in every respect.
The current Lubuskie Region Employers' Organization President Janusz Jasiński (managing Burza Ltd, Intermarche), for the last 7 years present in the OPZL managing board, is a member of the PKKP Lewiatan Head Council (Rada Główna PKKP Lewiatan) thanks to which the voice of the Lubuskie Region entrepreneurs is valid also in the scale of the whole country. Realizing consulting, information and training services and also other rules & regulations activities, we take care about high values, professional performance, the level according to entrepreneurs' expectations, aiming at the same time at gaining their trust and full satisfaction. The high level of services offered by the OPZL is guaranteed by the certified quality management system, accomplishing PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 norm requirements. The Organization is the only regional entrepreneurs association owning the ISO certificate. Moreover, as the only business organization in the region the OPZL belongs to the National Small and Medium Business Service System (Krajowy System Usług dla Małych I Średnich Przedsiębiorstw) congregated around the Polish Enterprise Development Agency (Polska Agencja Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości). We also posses the commercial letter of credit as regards information, consulting and training services.
The Lubuskie Region Employers' Organization carries into effect a number of projects addressed to the Lubuskie Region entrepreneurs and people intending to start their own business co-financed by the European Union funds and the state budget.
The Lubuskie Region Employers' Organization runs a Consultation Point (Punkt Konsultacyjny - PK), that plays the role of first contact institution for entrepreneurs and soon-to-be entrepreneurs. The information that can be received in the Consultation Point refers to both elementary issues connected with starting and running economic activity and also the accessible support forms for entrepreneurs. The Consultation Point in Zielona Góra also provides information services in the range of petition rules preparation for the European Union funds subsidies.
The Organization cooperates with numerous partners form Poland and abroad the major of which are:
- regional employers' unions congregated around PKKP Lewiatan, e. g. Warszawa, Poznań, Lublin, Kraków,
- The Lubuskie Region Construction Chamber (Lubuska Izba Budownictwa), Zielona Góra
- The Employers' Organization of Berlin & Brandenburg, Germany,
- The Industry & Trade Chamber from Cottbus, Germany
- The University of Zielona Góra
- and many more.
Aware of the participation in one organism the common Europe is, the Lubuskie Region Employers' Organization is open to coming into dialogue and cooperation with new partners form the European Union.
